"Thank you for a wonderful experience. The Giro was the trip of a lifetime for me. From the time we arrived and actually rode on the Italian roads, all the training and lugging the bike around the airports was worth it!
The sheer joy of some of the climbs has left a lasting impression that I hope I will never forget. 1st class is the only way to describe the accommodation and meals. The red wine and restaurants were thoroughly enjoyed and really helped to experience the laid back Italian culture.
Our guide, Checco was excellent. His love of cycling and knowledge he had of our rides was contagious, in fact on some rides, we even tried to copy his riding styles. I have nothing but praise for Wayne and Karl for the tour and I know that this is due to the hard yards that they put in to the planning and every day running of this trip.
Thanks again and I do hope to do this again someday."

"In May 2009 I had the good fortune to be able to travel to Italy with ‘Cyclists on Tour”. It was with some trepidation that I signed up for this trip to the Giro d’Italia as I was not a seasoned cyclist, having had only 2 years cycling under my belt and being over 50! Although some of the climbs were definitely challenging, the effort was well worthwhile. The careful planning of our itinerary meant that we saw all of the important and magnificent passes included in the Giro and were well supported every day with a local, experienced cyclist as our guide.
Although I have traveled extensively in the past, particularly in Italy, I can say unequivocally that this was the best holiday I have ever had. Aside from the wonderful and exciting cycling experiences, Wayne and Karl had sourced the best places to enjoy the finest offerings of local food and wine. Even the coffee stops we took were delightful!
The limited size of the tour group meant that we could take full advantage of our time without having to cope with the time consuming logistics involved when dealing with large numbers of bikes and luggage, and the need to make reservations for meals.
Yes, it is official. I am now a Cyclists on Tour groupie! Can’t wait for the next trip!"
